Guest Strip Week - Scott! -:- Wednesday, February 28, 2007

Scott's page went up yesterday, but I accidently put Justin into the queue for Thursday instead of Wednesday (which was where James was going to be). No biggie.

Joe Dunn's page will go up on Friday as planned, and then next week will go back to regular Friday updates with new material by yours truely. Feel free to leave me messages and feedback on MySpace or the Digital Pimp forums. Let me know what you think about the guest strips!

Also, this weekend I'll be getting together with Carl and Scott, and we might be trying to finish the Exile 3: Serpentine story. I only ever did two pages for this one (see the Sketches section, above), but as I finished the Exile 2 for the team they want my feedback and assistance. I'm coming up with ideas already to see if I can get the thing finished in 15 pages or less, or we might just limit ourselves to a number of pages and work on it as it was intended to be worked on: without planning, going from what the previous artist gives us. We shall see.

More updates about that later, for now - continue to enjoy guest strip week!

Guest Strip Week - Carl Kloster -:- Monday, February 26, 2007

As one of the founding members of the Exile Comics, Carl was the guy who made my first website and helped me get into web comics the most! As such, if you hate the work that I do, he should be the first and foremost on your list of people to blame. :D

Carl's been taking some downtime lately, occasionally updating his website. Project: October was about his recent wedding to the girl he's been dating since he moved into the dorms, Sarah!

Come back every day this week for more guest strips by the Exile crew, including Scott, Justin, and Joe! Feel free to leave feedback on my MySpace page, or on the Digital Pimp forums!

Project: October - FINALE! -:- Saturday, February 24, 2007

Today marks the final page of Project: October. After having haulted the gnomes from taking over the surface world, Carl and Sarah were reunited and lived happily ever after...or do they?

I know I've used this ending before in the x-mas card that I made for Carl and Sarah, but apparently it still applies today. Besides, it's the logical next step in a married couples relationship...although, it doesn't have to happen right away, guys. ;)

This means that the first story arch for @$$hole is finally over, and therefore, GUEST WEEK will be the next logical progression. Many from the old Exile Comics crew have come out of retirement for this event, including Carl, Scott, Justin, and Joe Dunn (never really in retirement). James had originaly agreed to do one, but had to back out at the last minute for personal reasons.

In any case, come back all next week for guest strips, and the following week will return @$$hole to it's regular Friday schedule. Feel free to leave feedback here, or on the Digital Pimp forums (sign up today, support Joe and his crew). Peace!

On Time Pages, Late Posts -:- Sunday, February 18, 2007

Hey gang, sorry for the late posts. I assure you that the comic has been updating every week like clockwork, on Fridays. That said, I have a few news updates for you that everyone should be aware of:

1. Project: October has only one page left before it's finale. This story arch will end on February 23, and then we'll go into guest week - featuring the old Exile Comics crew of Carl, Scott, Justin, and Joe! After guest week, @$$hole will continue to update on Fridays with the new format strips - isolated bits of comedy. Feel free to send me feedback on these, as this is my first time attempting comedy on a regular basis for quite some time. The easiest ways to reach me currently are through MySpace and the forums.

2. The Exile Comics forum has been effectively shut down by Scott, as it was overflowing with spam. Those forums were dead anyway, and difficult to sign into. The link has been redirected to the Digital Pimp forums, with the permission of Joe Dunn. His boards are working, and it's easier to sign in. Feel free to comment about my comics, or any of the threads that are mentioned there. Joe's work amazes me, and he has some great comics to read on his main site - check them out!

3. My MySpace page is still inexcessable for people using Internet Explorer. It does work fine in Firefox and Safari, however. I realize that this has been an issue for a while now, but the truth of the matter is that you shouldn't be using IE in the first place :P Kidding. Truth be told, Laura's working on a completely new design for my MySpace, and hopefully it'll be IE friendly. It's worth checking out, because the blog on there updates pretty regularly, and there are movie and comic reviews. Check it out!

That's about it for now. Be sure to check out the final page of Project: October this week, Friday, and come back for guest week and the new issues of @$$hole!
