So, the secret's out: Project: October was the comic / card for my friends Carl and Sarah, due to them on their wedding day (which is tomorrow). Now, assuming I didn't sleep tonight, there's still no way I'd be able to color the remaining pages and print the thing before their wedding tomorrow.
I'm gonna ask them for a 2 week extention, which I'm sure they won't mind. I feel kinna bad about it, though, since I had plenty of time to get the thing done, but I just kept allowing myself to be distracted along the way. It's always a bad feeling when you don't meet the goals that you've set for yourself, but I'm going to use this as a learning experience in saying "no" to doing the things I want to do when it means sacrificing the things that I have to do - which explains why I haven't been going to Necto every week: to try and work more on this wedding comic.
In any case, I also want to use this wedding comic as the catalist for my new strip, @$$hole. However, judging on how long it's taken me just to make these 12 pages and a cover, I might have to work on my time management skills a little before I can get that project off the ground and running consistantly. Moving into my new place at the end of November should help with my comic productivity, as my expenditures (bills and rent) will prevent me from being able to go out as often as I currently do.
This means that I'm going to try to maintain a regular comic update schedule again, continuing to clean up old G-Man comics, and making new @$$hole strips. All this, while holding regular weekly Movie Nights, working 40-60 hours per week, trying to work out 3 times per week, AND working on pre-production for the Temple stories that I have in the works (which will come out faster, if i can find an artist willing to help me out). And then, once G-Man has been restored fully, I can start doing new stories with those characters (which is the purpose of the restoration project - to help clear up backstory).
Anyway, I just wanted to annouce what was going on, and what to expect from me in the near future. I hope that helps to clear the air, as I haven't made updates in what seems like forever. My goal is to have new material online by the end of November (assuming no last-minute emergencies come up and prevent that schedule). Keep your fingers crossed for me, and I hope you enjoy my new stuff when it starts to come out. Peace!
